Services and Programs

Training isn't just getting the horse out and working them.  It is a constant refresher of the aids and making sure the horse is working correctly. With basic training we work the horse 2-3 times per week. Full training we work the horse 4-5 times per week.

We also provide ala carte options for those that might just need training while on vacation, or for a shorter amount of time.

Training

EEC is not a boarding facility, but we provide boarding as a service to our clients.  Clients may either choose Basic Board, and take care of their monthly chores, or Full Board and EEC will do their chores for them.
Horses are fed 3x/day up to 25 pounds of hay, and turned out (weather permitting).  There is a locker provided, and blanket storage, as well as feeding of owner supplied supplements and grain options.

Boarding

Lessons are available for everyone.  Those owning horses and hauling in, those without horses, and those that own and wish to board here.  Lessons are scheduled depending on need, ability and scheduling options.  We teach Monday through Saturday, with limited lessons available on Sunday.  Our school horse lesson program provides horses of all levels (including jumping) for those that don't own or lease.

Lessons

Horse Shows are accessible for everyone! Even if you don't own or lease, lesson horses are available for rental at horse shows. Horse shows are a great way to further riding skills, as well as earn local, state and national awards.

Day fees are $125/day for show help and feeding your horse a.m. and p.m.

Horse Shows

EEC is very proud of their ability to match horses and riders.  We search "in house" or in Alaska, Canada or the lower 48. We are also able to sell your horse and market them in Alaska and beyond, we have sold several horses in Arizona, Canada, California, WA, New York, Oregon and Alaska.  We charge 10% commission on sales and clients pick up any additional expenses.

Horse Sales

EEC has a variety of lease options: Lesson lease, partial lease and full lease.

Lesson leases are for the school horse program to reserve a certain horse for that month for your lessons.
A partial and full lease is either for use of a lesson horse, or a private horse for lessons, shows and clinics. Partial leases start at $400/mo.

EEC is has always been involved in the Alaska horse community.  EEC has served on the Alaska Hunter Jumper Association Board, USHJA Zone 12 Board (and Chair), Alaska State Horseshows, and the USEF Board.  Julie was on the Board of the Anchorage Horse Council and was instrumental in the funding and building of WCCEC. EEC also works with local schools and Girl and Boy Scouts.

Committee Work

For those that want to learn more about horses and horse management, we offer a working student program.
Most working students are able to trade working for lessons/horse shows, but some are part of an apprentice program to learn about what is involved in being a trainer and gaining the skills needed for the industry
